ISTE25 Recap & What’s Next from BrainFreeze

ISTE25 Recap & What’s Next from BrainFreeze

What. A. Week.

The BrainFreeze team is back from #ISTE25 in San Antonio, and we’re still buzzing from all the incredible conversations, classroom stories, and educator energy we experienced. From launching giveaways and live demos to scooping out popsicles and celebrating our Tech & Learning Best of Show Award, we’re so grateful to everyone who made this week unforgettable.

Here’s a look back at what went down—and a peek at what’s coming next!

What We Brought to ISTE25

We wanted our booth to feel less like a vendor stop and more like a recharge station—and by the look of our crowds (and popsicle cooler), we think it worked.

Here’s what educators enjoyed throughout the conference:

Free AI Resources

We gave away hundreds of copies of our exclusive AI 101 Workbook for Teachers and School Leaders, packed with real-world tips, use cases, and prompts to help educators integrate AI in meaningful, manageable ways. It’s designed not just for teachers, but also for school leaders, parents, and even students who want to better understand how AI can support learning. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for a downloadable version you can easily share with your peers and school community.

Daily Giveaways

Every day, we gave away a $100 Amazon Gift Card—plus a $250 Grand Prize to close out the three-day event. Congrats again to all our winners: Sandy Villar (Day 1), Janice Anderson (Day 2), Allison Floyd (Day 3), and our Grand Prize winner, Teresa Hollingsworth! Thank you to the hundreds of educators who entered by scanning our QR code and joining the BrainFreeze community.

Swag & Refreshments

Who doesn’t love free pens, tote bags, stickers, and cold treats? We brought the chill (literally) with our signature popsicle stand, offering a refreshing break from the conference bustle. Paired with exclusive BrainFreeze swag, our booth quickly became a go-to spot to cool down, grab some goodies, and spark meaningful conversations with fellow educators about the future of AI in the classroom.

Live AI Demos & Conversations

Educators saw real-time demos of how BrainFreeze’s ready-to-use AI assistants can help with lesson planning, grading, parent communications, differentiation, and more. We loved hearing how you’re thinking about AI and sharing how we’ve built BrainFreeze to meet your classroom needs with security, ease of use, and compliance built-in.

On-Stage Insights

Our CEO, John Marshall, hosted a powerful session: “AI in Action: Transforming K-12 Education with Secure AI Use Cases.” With a room full of engaged educators, the talk featured live, audience-driven demos of BrainFreeze agents and real examples of how schools are implementing AI safely and effectively. The session sparked insightful questions from real teachers, such as: How can AI help reduce administrative burden without compromising privacy? What safeguards ensure age-appropriate AI interactions? And how can schools start their AI journeys with confidence?

What We Learned

Every booth conversation, demo request, and raised hand reminded us of one thing: Educators are ready for AI. But they need tools that actually work for them.

Here’s what we heard most:

  • Teachers want time back. From planning to grading, AI can help—if it’s easy to use and tailored to classroom realities.
  • Security still matters. With so many tools out there, knowing which ones truly protect student data is critical.
  • The best ideas come from the field. You inspired us with real stories and creative use cases that we’re taking straight back to our product team.
  • Caution is common—and wise. Many educators, parents, and administrators remain understandably cautious about AI. Across conversations, we saw that most schools are still in the early stages of exploring AI, taking the time to carefully research options, draft thoughtful policies, and ensure any tools they adopt align with both academic goals and student privacy standards.
